It’s been October Marlin Madness for us at Tantrum, with incredible action. Over the last four days alone, we’ve landed 17 blue marlin for our clients, giving them an unforgettable fishing experience. With more charters lined up, we’re eager to see what the ocean has for us next. Every one of the 17 blue marlins was released, including a remarkable 600-pounder that we brought in on Thursday.
First of two, five release days
Sunday Success: JJ and Paige’s Charter
Sunday kicked off with a bang. JJ and Paige joined us for a charter and reeled in three blue marlin. It was a fantastic day on the water, and these catches set the tone for an action-packed week.
Dennis from Melbourne Hooks 10 Marlin in Two Days
On Monday and Tuesday, Dennis, who traveled from Melbourne, Australia, had the fishing trip of a lifetime. He hooked and released 10 of the 18 blue marlins we encountered. Though we didn’t land any massive marlins, the most significant weighing in at 300 pounds, the experience was filled with fun and laughter. Dennis had a blast, and the camaraderie on board made the trip unforgettable.
Five Release Day again
A 600-pound Catch with Howard & Family
Thursday brought another thrilling day with our client Howard and his family on the water. We went 4 for 7 on blue marlins, and one of the day’s highlights was catching an impressive 600-pounder. Our Tantrum 10/0 hooks performed flawlessly, thanks to Anthony Riccio, who put them to the test on this massive marlin. The fish gave us an exciting fight, launching on the leader before we finally brought it in for some incredible photos.
Looking Ahead
October is typically a quieter month, but the fishing has been spectacular. We can’t wait to see what the rest of the week holds as we continue chasing these magnificent fish.
